Catherine Vannier is the Family Violence Resource Prosecutor for the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services. She has been developing Missouri's Family Violence Prosecution Resource Program since its inception in late 2006. The program strives to maximize the effectiveness of prosecutors, law enforcement and all of our allied professionals on family violence, sexual assault and child abuse cases through training, technical assistance and resources.

Trainings consist of an annual statewide conference, local and regional trainings as well as on-line trainings or "webinars". Additional family violence, sexual assault and child abuse trainings can be scheduled on request, based on trainer availability and funding. The Family Violence Resource Program also produces a periodic newsletter called "The Edge". This newsletter is published periodically to highlight innovative programs, ideas and resources for the prosecutors and allied professionals in the topic areas of family and sexual violence.

The Resource Prosecutor continues to collect and develop resources, tools and other materials designed to assist prosecutors and our allied professionals. We welcome technical assistance requests from prosecutors and allied professionals. Due to the demands of the Program, responding quickly may be a challenge. Please be sure to include any deadline information relevant to your request and please feel free to check back if you have not heard from the Resource Prosecutor in a timely fashion.

Child Abuse Cases:  Under Section 660.520, the Office may be called upon to provide its expertise to the State Technical Assistance Team in cases of child abuse, child neglect, child sexual abuse, child exploitation, child pornography, or child fatality.
