Jamie Padgett, Victim Advocate/Coordinator

Jamie Padgett joined the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services in April 2017.  As the Statewide Victim Advocate/Coordinator, Ms. Padgett coordinates a full array of victim services throughout the state.  These services include providing direct services to crime victims, working with prosecutors to inform crime victims about their rights, and assist victims with filing for the Crime Victim Compensation Fund. She also coordinates the VOCA Circuit-Based Advocate grant.

Ms. Padgett started her work as the Victim Witness Advocate Intern in Green County Missouri in 2007 as part of her undergraduate degree practicum while at Missouri State University studying social work.  She subsequently obtained her Masters in Social Work from the University of South Carolina in 2009.  Jamie held the position of Victim Services Coordinator in Franklin County Missouri from July 2012 -April 2017.  Ms. Padgett’s caseload while working in Franklin County included all family violence cases, violent felonies, and vehicle accidents resulting in fatalities.  Ms. Padgett was also an adjunct professor through Central Methodist University, teaching an array of Psychology and Sociology courses.
