Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor


Stephanie Watson joined the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services in December 2013.  As a Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor, she responds to technical assistance requests, assists with legal research, assists prosecutors with difficult or complex issues, and provides training to prosecutors and law enforcement officers around the state in the field of DWI prosecutions and traffic safety.  Upon appointment, she serves as special assistant prosecutor or special prosecutor in various counties throughout the state.   
 
Stephanie served as an assistant prosecutor in Randolph County from 2007-2013. In that role she was responsible for handling all of the traffic crimes including DWIs, assaults in the second degree and involuntary manslaughters. She was instrumental in adopting a “no refusal” policy for Randolph County. Stephanie still serves as the city prosecutor in Moberly. She also worked as an assistant public defender from 2005-2007.
 
Stephanie is a 2005 graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln College of Law. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Resources from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in 2002.
